Dr Shivana Anand is a Specialist in Prosthodontics who undertook both her undergraduate and postgraduate training at Guy’s Hospital.
Shivana graduated from King’s College London in 2014. She then completed her DFT training in the reputable Oxford Deanery and continued on within DCT1 training at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital enhancing her surgical skills, complex medical cases and multidisciplinary dentistry. She completed the Membership of Joint Dental Faculty with The Royal College of Surgeons England (MJDF) shortly after.
Shivana successfully completed her Prosthodontics specialty training (MClinDent) at Guy’s Hospital with Distinction. She sat the Membership of Restorative Dentistry examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MPros Ed), becoming a Specialist within her field.
She is passionate about whole patient care, rehabilitating smiles and working closely with dental implants. Shivana is known for treating people who have missing teeth who find it challenging to eat, speak and smile. Her expertise lies in restoring dental implants on multiple teeth.
Alongside working in Specialist practice, Shivana works as a Clinical Teacher at Guy’s Hospital teaching the next generation of dental practitioners. She works closely with young dentists, mentoring and teaching on topics relating to dental ethics and governance. She was shortlisted Best Young Dentist at the Dental Showcase in 2015 and is a big advocate of dental charity. Shivana has made her mark on the dental industry as a member of multiple Dental Journals where she contributes to the literature within dentistry and has authored a first of its kind textbook. She speaks regularly on the role of Prosthodontics and her journey thus far.
Aside from creating smiles, Shivana loves travelling and thoroughly enjoys her long walks when in the green suburbia.
